Mr. Ali is Director General, Business Environment Reforms Wing of BOI, which is responsible for the Ease of Doing Business Reforms as well as the Pakistan Regulatory Modernization Initiative. He is an Executive Cadre Officer who joined the Board of Investment in 2006 and has served in a wide variety of positions on the Board.
He has remained involved in several reform, modernization and automation projects during his service. He has also received recognition and awards for his original contribution to reform initiatives.
He started his career in corporate sector with M/s Print Pak in January, 1997 and has over 26 years of extensive experience in different marketing and management roles both in private and public sector. He successfully helped the company grow its business many folds under his visionary marketing skills.
Mr. Ali was mandated to establish BOI’s Investment Facilitation Center, Lahore and remained Provincial In charge until he moved back to Islamabad where he served in the capacities of Director Accounts, Director Policy Planning, Director Legal and as first Director SEZs & CPEC.
He also represented Pakistan in many seminars/conferences abroad including India, China, Japan, Turkey and Czech Republic.
He is a Master of Business Administration from IBA with specialization in Marketing. In addition, he possesses exceptional negotiation, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
