BOI, in collaboration with the Department of Plant Protection, implemented a reform to digitize and simplify agricultural accreditation, extend validity from 2 to 5 years, and integrate the process with Pakistan Single Window for improved efficiency and transparency.

The Board of Investment (BOI) is pleased to share the successful implementation of a key regulatory reform in the agriculture sector, in collaboration with the Department of Plant Protection.

The certificate for accreditation as a commercial treatment provider has been simplified, digitized, and its validity extended from 2 to 5 years. The process is now fully integrated with the Pakistan Single Window (PSW) platform, ensuring greater efficiency and transparency.

What this means for businesses:
Reduced time and cost through a fully digital application and renewal process
Fewer regulatory touchpoints and improved ease of compliance
Extended validity (2 to 5 years) leading to less frequent renewals
Enhanced transparency and faster processing through PSW

This reform marks a significant step towards modernizing regulatory processes, facilitating trade, and strengthening Pakistan’s business environment.
