Description		Before: The Surgical Instruments Manufacturers Association of Pakistan (SIMAP) is a voluntary industry association representing manufacturers and exporters of surgical instruments, primarily located in Sialkot. SIMAP provides a platform for industry coordination, export promotion, and engagement with government stakeholders.22 SIMAP informed that it currently has around 5,500 registered businesses. SIMAP membership is a voluntary procedure, and is not required by any law or regulation for manufacturing but businesses may perceive it as a prerequisite for industry engagement and export support, creating unnecessary administrative complexity.
