DescriptionBefore: The registration of contractors for revenue contracts of Local Councils in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is governed under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government Act, 2013, along with the rules and regulations framed thereunder, including the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tehsil Municipal Administrations (Rules of Business), 2015. Under this framework, Local Councils primarily Tehsil Municipal Administrations (TMAs) are authorized to lease out revenue-generating assets and services such as markets, parking stands. Contractor registration for Local Council revenue contracts involves separate registration, extensive documentation, and procedural requirements, increasing compliance costs and delaying participation in public contracting opportunities.
