DescriptionBefore: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the registration/enlistment of contractors for local development works is currently enforced through the Local Council Board (LCB) and concerned Tehsil Municipal Administrations (TMAs) under the legal mandate of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government Act, 2013 (as amended). The LCB, as a provincial regulatory and coordinating body for local governments, issues contractor registration/enlistment certificates (commonly referred to as RLCO/LCB registration). Separate contractor registration requirements, extensive documentation, and multiple approval processes increase compliance costs and delay businesses' participation in local development projects.
