Downgrading of Category Now Allowed for Cable Operators

Reform Description Before: The Cable TV operators, once issued with their licenses, were not allowed to downgrade their category of license. High category required higher fees and annual renewal charges.

After: Now, all Cable TV operators are allowed to downgrade their license category once in period of their license issuance.

Details Difficulty The Cable TV operators, once issued with their licenses, were not allowed to downgrade their category of license. This caused frustration in the business operations as they were bound to follow the same categorization for a complete license period even if they had been declared eligible for the downgrading the category.
Analysis It was demanded by the cable operators that to facilitate the business operations the change in the category may be allowed when the requirements are duly met by the cable operators.
Solution  Now, all Cable TV operators are allowed to downgrade their license category once in period of their license issuance.
