Description		Decorative and furniture items made of wood, including marquetry, inlaid wood, jewellery boxes and ornaments, are finished consumer goods that fall outside the scope of the Plant Quarantine Act 1976 and Rules 2019, so the existing inspection and Plant Protection Release Order requirement only adds processing time without reducing any genuine biosecurity risk.

Reason for Omission		Wood marquetry and inlaid wood; caskets and cases for jewellery or cutlery, and similar articles, of wood; statuettes and other ornaments, of wood; wooden articles of furniture not falling in Chapter 94, being processed items do not come under the purview of PQA 1976 and Rules 2019.
