Reform Description		Timeline Prescribed for Issuance and Renewal of Drug License Before: Businesses faced difficulties obtaining drug licenses, as pharmacies and drug stores were required to get them from drug regulatory authorities. It was a time-consuming process. After: The licensing process has been made time-bound to ensure timely issuance of drug license i.e. within 45 days.

Details	Difficulty	The issuance of drug licenses by provincial drug regulators was time-consuming and undesirable. Businesses in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors sought a more efficient process to facilitate timely license issuance.
	Analysis	During interaction with the stakeholders, it was felt that the drug license issuance process is tedious and should be reorganised.
	Solution	After reviewing the process, the Gilgit Baltistan Government has now prescribed time limits for issuance of drug licenses.
